Denne læreboken dekker pensum for fellesfaget Teknologiledelse for ingeniørstudiene. Den behandler emnene innen fagområdet, og legger grunnlaget for en forståelse av hva en bedrift er, og hvordan den fungerer. Tim Torvatn er førsteamanuensis ved Institutt for industriell økonomi og teknologiledelse (IØT) ved NTNU. Tim Torvatn har i over 10 år vært emnekoordinator for emnet teknologiledelse, som er obligatorisk for alle sivilingeniørstudenter ved NTNU, og har bred undervisningserfaring innenfor området. Monica Rolfsen er professor ved IØT og dekan ved Fakultet for økonomi NTNU. Hun har gjennom de siste 25 årene publisert en rekke bøker og artikler om ledelse, teamarbeid, produksjonsorganisering, Lean og den norske modellen. Tarjei Alvær Heggernes er utdannet cand.merc. fra NHH, og er opptatt av å bygge bro mellom teknologi- og økonomifag. Han har tidligere utgitt boken Digital forretningsforståelse, og jobber som førstelelektor ved Høgskulen på Vestlandet og Handelshøyskolen BI. Roger Sørheim er professor i entreprenørskap ved IØT, NTNU. Roger Sørheim er en av grunnleggerne av NTNUs Entreprenørskole (entreprenorskolen.no). Sørheims primære forskningsfokus er tidligfasefinansiering og kommersialisering av teknologi.
